Top wedding love songs you’ve never heard of!

June 2, 2025

On a whim, we did an AI search on “wedding love songs you’ve never heard of.” Here’s what came up, in no particular order:

“Home” by Phillip Phillips

Really nice song. And we kind of think you’ve heard of it. After all, Phillip Phillips sang it in his award-winning performance on American Idol in 2012. The song, co-written by Drew Pearson and Greg Holden, was the best-selling song by an American Idol performer.

For one thing, it features great lyrics for a wedding:

“If you get lost, you can always be found,

Just know you’re not alone,

‘Cause I’m gonna make this place your home.”

“First Day of My Life” by Bright Eyes

This song offers up nice lyrics for your wedding celebration:

“This is the first day of my life

I’m glad I didn’t die before I met you

But now I don’t care, I could go anywhere with you

And I’d probably be happy”

“Adore You” by Harry Styles

Not sure what A.I. was thinking on this song, because it’s pretty well known. Styles co-wrote it with a committee of songwriters, including Amy Allen, Kid Harpoon, and Tyler Johnson. And it won a bucket of awards.

“This Will Be Our Year” by The Zombies

For the heck of it, we glanced at wedding bells list of wedding songs you’ve never heard of. They hit pay dirt with a song by The Zombies from 1968 (above). Most readers of this blog have probably never heard of the Zombies, much less this delightful song. The lyrics are a good fit for your wedding:

“The warmth of your love

Is like the warmth of the sun,

And this will be our year,

Took a long time to come.”

We’re not sure why A.I. didn’t think the first three songs on this list weren’t well-known, but they’re a good reminder of songs you may want to consider for your first dance song.

Whatever the song, whether if it’s by The Zombies or Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, we’ll play your curated playlist on high-end equipment with calibrated volume to ensure a great dance floor experience for your guests.
